Account Manager

We are Bread SRSLY, makers of wildly nourishing, SERIOUSLY delicious, gluten-free and vegan sourdough bread in Berkeley, CA. We bake thousands of loaves of bread each week and ship them all over the US to eager gluten-free eaters. As Account Manager, you will be the master of our wholesale business. From creating high-touch relationships with grocery buyers to planning weekly sales volumes, you are the bridge between our customers and our Operations team. Customer Service is your middle name, and you impress your buyers with prompt, accurate and thoughtful communications that make their days run more smoothly.

The Account Manager will work directly with wholesale accounts to gather orders, support movement of our products in their stores through demos and promotions, and collect payments. This position reports to the owner of the company, and also works closely with Marketing and Operations to plan smooth sales growth.

Our ideal candidate is a true people person who listens well and reads between the lines. Past coworkers describe you as a great communicator with badass organizational skills. Numbers and spreadsheets don’t phase you, and you can adapt to on-the-fly changes gracefully.

This is a full time salaried position with potential for growth. It may require occasional travel to visit accounts or assist with demos.

The Account Manager will:

  • Oversee order placement.

  • Coordinate promotions and demos to support sales.

  • Hire and schedule demo representatives in 5+ regions.

  • Onboard new accounts.

  • Work with the Marketing team to build brand awareness in strategic locations.

  • Design, run and analyze sales reports to assess growth.

  • Manage Accounts Receivable.

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to commute to our West Berkeley office Monday-Friday

  • Experience with Google or Microsoft Suites

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in sales, management, operations or similar

Extra Credit:

  • Curiosity about food, health, and nutrition

  • Previous experience at a food business

  • Knowledge of gluten-free trends

  • Fluency with Customer Relationship Management software, Quickbooks Online

  • Drivers license
